As summer heats up, we are ready to explore new directions for our Affordable Housing advocacy.
On June 5, the Stan Greenspon Center for Peace and Social Justice will host a panel discussion to envision paths to equitable and integrated housing in Charlotte. This forum is a follow-up to an 8 week racial justice seminar series held last fall and aims to provide actionable opportunities for advocacy and activism related to the in-progress Unified Development Ordinance and city planning. We welcome Taiwo Jaiyeoba, Director of Planning, City of Charlotte; Catherine Monroe, Past President of the American Institute of Architects, Charlotte Chapter; and Josh Martin Senior Adviser on Built Environment, Charleston, SC.
This event will be from 6:00-7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in Ketner Auditorium at Queens and is co-sponsored by Carolina Jews for Justice – Greater Charlotte, Homeless Services Network and One Meck.
