Take flight with us on a weeklong trip to Israel this Spring! We leave on Sunday, May 12, 2019 and return on Monday, May 20, 2019. The trip will be led by Rabbi Judy Schindler, Sklut Professor of Jewish Studies, Dr. Alexa Royden, Associate Professor of Political Science, and Israeli educator and tour guide Doron Harel.

Our group will travel through Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, with visits to Galilee and the Negev. We will stop and explore the sacred sites that bind so many peoples to this land.

Participants will increase their knowledge and understanding of this land through the guidance of Rabbi Judy Schindler and Dr. Alexa Royden. They will lead the group as we analyze both the vision and reality of Israel’s Declaration of Independence. Doron Harel, our tour guide, brings 18 years of experience to this trip. He will lead us through the sacred historical sites as we experience many cultural activities. The group will also have opportunities to meet with members and leaders of Israel’s diverse communities.

Participants will attend three academic sessions at Queens University in preparation for the tour, which is limited to 32 participants. Spots are expected to fill up fast, so be sure to register soon!

This program is open to the community. You can invite friends and relatives from out of town to join us.
