Join Rabbi Judy Schindler and Reverend Nancy Ellett-Allison on the Greenspon Center Interfaith Trip to Israel

Rabbi Judy Schindler and Reverend Nancy Ellett-Allison invite you to join them on the Greenspon Center Interfaith Trip to Israel in the upcoming year. This one-week trip will take place from May 12, 2020 – May 19, 2020. The group will visit cities such as Tel Aviv, Nazareth, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem as well as numerous historical and religious sites. Included in the trip’s cost are all hotel accommodations, some additional meals, additional services in Israel, and touring services.

Within each city, the group will encounter various people and sites to enhance their experience. Upon arriving in Israel, the group will stop in Jaffa to meet Ms. Doris Hiffawi, an Israeli-Arab-Palestinian-Christian to hear about her family history and life experiences. In Nazareth, highlights include visiting the Basilica of the Annunciation, the Mount of the Beatitudes , and boating on the Sea of Galilee. Other experiences include a visit to Mt. Tabor, the site of the transfiguration, and attending a Shabbat Service with Rabbi Steve Burnstein at Temple Birkat Shalom.

Stepping away from touring historical and religious sites, the group will enjoy an afternoon of R&R at a private Dead Sea beach and outdoor pool as well as a hike through cascading waterfalls. You will also travel to the fortress of Masada and participate in Havdalah Service led by Rabbi Judy Schindler.

In Jerusalem, highlights include a Sunday Service at Jerusalem Baptist Church, a visit to the Room of the Last Supper, travel to Mount Moriah, a tour of the Western Wall Tunnels, and spending time in Mahane Yehuda, the open-air market of Jerusalem. In Bethlehem, the group will tour Manger Square, see the Church of the Nativity, and see the Shepherd’s Field.
