Join Restorative Justice CLT and the Greenspon Center for our next Tuesday Teach-In on the topic of: “The Future of Restorative Justice.”  Tuesday, April 13, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm

Where do we go from here? What’s next in the ongoing struggle to obtain Restorative Justice? Join us a in powerful discussion on Race & Equality.

Panelists:

  • Reverend Garner-Mullins, Director of Christian Education First Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, grew up in the Brookyln Neighborhood of Charlotte and has repeatedly been a victim of urban renewal programs in Charlotte.
  • Susan Harden, Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte, served on 2019-2020 Mecklenburg County Commission.
  • Reverend Dr. Willie Keaton, President & CEO, Restorative Justice CLT and Pastor, Mt. Olive Presbyterian Church
  • Reverend Dr. Sheldon “Skip” Shipman, Greenville Memorial AME Zion Church,
    Charlotte, NC.

Come and learn about Mecklenburg County Commissioner Mark Jerrell’s bold proposal for a Restorative Justice Trust Fund initiative to be included in this year’s County budget and how you can support it. A budget hearing will be held on May 13th.
