By Sophia Lange and Chava Rosenberg

Queens students and Greenspon Fellows Chava Rosenberg and Sophie Lange will present their research project titled “Best Practices to Combat Antisemitism and Hate on College Campuses” at Queens University on November 10, 2023, from 5:30 – 8:00 in Queens Hall. This presentation is the culmination of ten months of investigative research beginning this past January. Motivated to find solutions to curb the increasing number of recent antisemitic hate crimes on college campuses, Chava and Sophie were compelled to produce and distribute their own study. Their research both quantitatively and qualitatively measures incidents of antisemitism on college campuses in the US. The results of this survey will be featured during the presentation along with a review of two recent national reports on rising antisemitism.  In addition, local FBI Special Agent Michael Stone, Civil Rights Coordinator, will share information regarding the definition of a hate crime and investigative and reporting processes.

This presentation not only aims to shed light on the prevalence of antisemitism, but also the growing frequency of all forms of hate, and the responsibility of all advocators, educators, and changemakers to respond proactively to combatting all hate.

We hope that you join us for this important presentation. Dinner will be served.
