Katie Cunningham
Holocaust Education Program Coordinator
Katie Cunningham is a National Board Certified Educator and licensed administrator with 8 years of experience teaching the Holocaust in her English Language Arts classrooms. Prior to joining the Stan Greenspon Center team, Katie also worked as an English Curriculum Specialist and Teaching Coach for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
Katie was appointed to the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust in 2020. She completed the Echoes and Reflections Advanced Studies Program at Yad Vashem in Israel in 2019 and participated in the TOLI Seminar at Queens University in 2018. Over the past five years she has also engaged in Race, Bias, Power, and Equity Professional Development and Cultural Proficiency Trainings through her positions in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Katie holds a Bachelors in English Secondary Education from Lebanon Valley College and a Masters of Arts in Education Leadership from Queens University. When she isn’t working or learning, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and baby daughter.
