  • Service led by UNC-Charlotte’s Symphony of Diversity, MeckMin and Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice

11:45   Registration/Check In Opens

  • Lunch on your Own (Young Dining Hall in Trexler or Coffee House at Queens University)
  • Bill Furman, Queens University Professor, and Queens students will create an immigration wall where participants can hang a photo copy of a picture of a relative that immigrated to America.

1:00    Opening Keynote: “Why do people move?”

  • Short Films for Long-term: the 100 Word Film Festival with Scott Galloway
  • Photography: Capturing Real Life through the Lens with the Light Factory
  • Performance as Activism with the Possibility Project

  • Curatorial Activism: Mint Museum and the Elder Gallery of Contemporary Art

  • Immigrant owned food trucks.
  • Concert with musicians who are first generation immigrants  If you know of an immigrant who is a musician and wants to share two songs at the concert, please submit an audio link of a sample of one of their song with some brief bio information about themselves (How long they’ve been a musician, how long they’ve been in American and their country of origin)  to David Krusch of East Coast Entertainment. dkrusch@eastcoastentertainment.com]
